Thanks to QJ.net
Thanks to PSP-Hacks.com
Thanks to PlanetPSP.org

We would all like to give our thanks to Hitchhikr and Team Neural for discovering the original exploit that made this all possible. We have seen several working and non-working betas over the past few days, and this final version of the downgrader makes it pretty much perfect and noob-proof. Many of our users have reported success in using the 2.5/2.6 downgrader called the 'downdater'. Although there is a risk of bricking, If you follow the readme word for word your PSP should turn out fine on firmware 1.5.

Remember, even though this is a final release and there has been many reports of succession, it may possibly brick your PSP - especially if you don’t know what you’re doing! Use with caution and use this downgrader at your own risk!

Requirements:

Your PSP CANNOT be a TA-082 (If you do have this PSP version, it may result in a brick)

Instructions:

Extract the files from the download below. Place the “DOWNDATER” folder into the ROOT of your memory stick.

Now open the folder appropriate for your firmware version (”2.50″ or “2.60″) and copy the “DOWNDATERTEST” folder into “PSP/GAME”.
Run GTA and load the eLoader.
In the eLoader menu, choose the downdater test. (WARNING: the program won’t output any display and any warnings, it will initiate the downgrader process inmediately.)

The memory stick light will flash indicating the PSP is being flashed from the files on the memory stick.
The screen WILL NOT display anything for safety purposes! It will be completely black and the backlight will remain on.

Now just wait. It will take a few minutes. The memory stick light will flash for a while and then the PSP will restart on its own.

If all worked correctly, you will have to set the date/time, nickname, etc.
After setting things up, you may get a disc read error. This is normal. Just open the UMD drive and reset the PSP.
You might also want to go to the system settings and restore default settings.
Congratulations! You can now enjoy the full benefits of firmware 1.5! If things didn’t go so well, you might still have 2.5/2.6 or even worse a paperweight. YOU TOOK THE RISK!

NOTE: Many people people have said to upgrade to 2.0 and then use the MPH downgrader to downgrade back to 1.5 after using this 2.5/6 downgrader. Whether this actually helps anything, is unknown, but it’s just a little tip in case you want to be extra safe.

There's a difference between looking at a site and being interested in it. If you're getting lots of hits but little uniques you know people are revisiting
